Jens Gleichmann

Jens Gleichmann is an SAP HANA expert at Crossload Consulting GmbH (XLC), where he supports migration and conversion projects as a project manager and during implementation. His recent work has centered on refining the NSE implementation methodology and optimizing performance, especially within the SAP HANA execution engine (HEX).

He began his SAP career in 2007 as an SAP Basis administrator at the automotive supplier Brose, working in an environment based on AIX and Oracle systems. As the technical owner of the business warehouse (BW) systems, he first came into contact with the SAP BI accelerator (BIA)—now called the SAP BW Accelerator—and TREX, which at the time were used as portal indexing technologies and served as precursors to today’s SAP HANA.

Starting in 2012, Jens Gleichmann worked as a technical consultant for various service providers and managed several SAP HANA migration projects. He gained hands-on experience through multiple migrations and took responsibility for his first full SAP HANA migration in 2013. From 2015 to 2018, he served as a trainer for SAP HANA courses on behalf of SAP.

Since 2019, he has been running his own company, XLC, with a focus on crossloads—migrations from the old anyDB world to SAP HANA. In the same year, SAP named him one of the first SAP Champions. In the years that followed, he received additional recognition for his contributions to the SAP community from VMware, IBM, and SUSE (SUSE Champion), including awards for his more than fifty published blog posts.
